We #StandwithStandingRock! #nodapl #PayaForThePeople
In Solidarity with the people of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, representatives from Payahuunadu (Owens Valley), have been supporting the resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline on the ground at the Oceti Sakowin and Sacred Stone Spirit Camps since early September. The initial caravan consisted of 6 vehicles, including 2 trailers hauling food, water, supplies, a large mess hall tent, and 16 people representing all 5 federally recognized tribes in the Eastern Sierra. Since that time, there has been a steady steam of protectors flocking to North Dakota to assist in the protection of the water.
We will continue to monitor the situation in North Dakota and stand with the Water Protectors as they hold down the front lines for our future clean energy economy.
